Identity, Collateral:
Ocean Spray Rebrand (University Project)
The brief for this project was to create a hypothetical rebranding project for a company that we felt we could improve. I’ve always been a big fan of the co-op model Ocean Spray uses to stay farmer-run, and its current branding just says nothing about the actual product. Cranberries are the heart and soul of the company, so the main aim of this rebrand was to both clarify its messaging as well as convey more of their cranberry roots.
This project also entailed branding a hypothetical conference for our company to use alongside their rebrand, so the name “Bogstomp” was chosen as well as the stylized rubber boot “B” to reference the method cranberry farmers use to harvest their crop as well as a catchy and somewhat tongue-in-cheek term for a grand gathering of the entire co-op. A layperson might not be familiar with the activity of “stomping the bog” to harvest cranberries, so it would immediately make attendees feel seen and included as part of an in-group.
